ShanghaiTex 2013 –
the highlight in Asia

While the parallel trade shows Techtextil/Texprocess will be the textile industry highlight in June, a further important event for the industry is also taking place in China; the ShanghaiTex is due to take place for the 16th time. From June 10 to 13, 2013 over 1,000 exhibitors will be presenting their latest innovations at the Shanghai New International Expo Center (exhibition space: 100,000 sq m). Whenever the international textile and apparel industry meets up to discuss the latest technologies and trends, Groz-Beckert has to be there as well of course – and looks forward to your visit at Hall W1, Stand B20.

The trade-show highlights from Groz-Beckert

Alongside high-quality machines and accessories, the main focus at this year's ShanghaiTex is on increasing productivity, saving energy, and on new materials in the textile industry. These topics are currently driving the sector, and you can find out here about the contributions being made by Groz-Beckert and the highlights you can expect to see at the 500-square-meter stand:

Knitting – faster and finer

  • High-Speed Solution: Thanks to a needle modification, large circular knitting machines can now produce at even higher speeds. Specifically, the cheek geometry of the needles has been optimized and the speed at which the latch hits the hook has been sharply reduced. This results in less needle breakage and reduced wear, increasing productivity in the entire circular knitting process.

  • Vo-LC™: Needles for the highest requirements, as needed in seamless bodysize machines and for production of the finest-gauge knits, are now receiving the designation Vo-LC™. The new needle generation stands for perfection in precision – find out more at the ShanghaiTex!

  • World-record gauge: Groz-Beckert presents a new knitting technology with the world's finest knitting cylinder and the finest precision parts. These products enable textiles to be manufactured to the ultrafine gauge E90 – a world record!

Weaving – more flexible, more efficient

WarpMaster
Intuitive operation of the WarpMaster
  • WarpMaster: The fully-automatic drawing-in machine ensures maximum flexibility combined with minimum setup time. The WarpMaster is microprocessor-controlled and is based on powerful multiphase motors, solenoids and sensors.

  • KnotMaster: Under the name KnotMaster, Groz-Beckert offers tying machines with impressive technology and easy operation for all kinds of different fields of application. Customers benefit from rapid warp changes and shorter waiting times – leading to more efficiency in weaving preparation.

Nonwovens – Universal and powerful

EcoStar felting needle
  • EcoStar felting needle: The new universal felting needle for almost any requirement is a special highlight of the nonwovens sector, and the first result of the far-reaching Innovation Initiative. In comparison to standard needles it offers users improved surface quality of the end-product, longer service life, less energy consumption, and fiber transportation that features lower penetration force while retaining the same level of efficiency.

  • Twisted felting needle: Groz-Beckert is constantly in search of opportunities to develop and optimize high-precision machine needles, precision components and precision tools for the textile value chain. One result of this is the new twisted felting needle, which is used whenever high tear resistance is required.
