In the old days companies in the sewing industry were able to build up know-how and quality standards on-site across several generations; these days the quality demanded by customers and markets often has to be planned, created and monitored across great distances with a series of changing partners. Linguistic problems and cultural differences can make things even more difficult. Staying up to date in fashion, however, requires high processing safety, delivery reliability and new materials - and it constantly makes new demands on the market.Ever since it included sewing-machine needles in its production range, Groz-Beckert has been focusing on customers' application problems. Solutions are elaborated on the basis of the existing product range, and insights into further development of sewing-machine needles are gained at the same time.
To master the challenges of the future, this offer is now being broadened. For further development of fabric goods and joining solutions, services are being specialized as well as decentralised. Here, customer support in Europe and America is being coordinated as always by the company headquarters in Albstadt. This includes project work on new solutions as well as targeted assistance with application problems.
For support in Asia, further decentralised sewing laboratories are being set up which can quickly look after the organisation of purchasing as well as production in the respective countries. In India, Singapore and Sri Lanka these labs have already been built, while in Hong Kong a further one is in the planning stage. In the upcoming editions of the Groz-Beckert Online Newsletter, we'll be introducing you to the individual Groz-Beckert laboratories and their employees, who are implementing the new service and development concept for you with expertise and commitment.
